The Vienna Opera Ball is more than just an event – it stands for an evening full of glamor, emotion and movement.
A night in which the Vienna State Opera is transformed into one of the most glamorous ball rooms in the world. Experience the special atmosphere of this unique night – from the first fanfare to the last waltz.

As in previous years, booking for the Vienna Opera Ball 2027 will be staggered.

Raffle for Tickets
In order to meet the high demand, tickets for the Vienna Opera Ball are allocated via a raffle. The time of registration has no effect on the chances of success in the raffle.
The Raffle is a selection procedure: participation enables tickets to be purchased, if you've been selected via the raffle. Tickets are not given away by raffle, they have to be bought. This ensures fair access for all interested parties.

With an Entrance Ticket, you can stroll through all the ball areas, visit bars, dance in various halls and, of course, receive your ball gift. You can follow the opening on numerous screens set up throughout the building.

Table Seats
If you would like to have a fixed seat in the ball area, which can also serve as a meeting point for a group of ball guests, we recommend booking a Table Seat. You can choose the room in which your table is located. You will have a reserved seat (regular chair or bar stool) for the entire evening, you can order drinks and light refreshments and relax between the hustle and bustle of the ball. You can follow the opening via screen.

Boxes
If you are looking for something a little more exclusive, you can use our Stage Boxes or Tiered Boxes. In your box you are secluded from the hustle and bustle of the ball, can follow the opening and the rest of the action on the dance floor and are looked after by our catering partner Gerstner.

Spectator Tickets
Watch the opening live in the ballroom. Be right there with a Spectator Ticket!
You can order Spectator Tickets in addition to your Entrance Ticket or your Table Seat. With a Spectator Ticket (either seated and standing), you are located in the balcony or gallery area. There is also a standing room directly on the dance floor – right behind the opening couples.

A visit to the Vienna Opera Ball in a wheelchair is generally possible; however, we must point out that due to structural conditions only very few ball areas are accessible.

All natural persons with a minimum age of 18 years are eligible to participate. Participation with identities of third parties or fake identities is not permitted.
Employees of the Bundestheater Group are excluded from participation.
Each e-mail address and associated customer number will only be considered once; duplicate orders will be excluded from the selection process.
In the event of a breach of these conditions of participation or false information, we reserve the right to exclude such persons from the selection process.
This also applies to persons who use unauthorized aids or otherwise gain advantages through manipulation.
In such cases, tickets may be reclaimed and put back on sale.
Finally, we reserve the right to make changes and additions to the selection process without prior notice or to cancel the allocation completely.
This applies in particular in the event of force majeure or if the selection procedure cannot be carried out or continued for organizational, technical or legal reasons.
